Glen Scotia

This lightly peated Glen Scotia, matured in bourbon casks, offers a charming expression of Campbeltown character.

Colour: Golden.

Nose: A distinct peat influence emerges, with a lightly medicinal and coastal character that feels very typical of Glen Scotia’s style. Notes of salty butter, warm hot cross buns, smoked grains, cereals, and fresh malt are complemented by subtle hints of ripe melon and citrus fruits underneath. An impressive and inviting aroma.

Palate: Delicate yet distinctive, with flavours of smoked hay, straw, raw barley, roasted potato, grass, olive oil, and touches of lemon peel. There are also hints of beach pebbles and dried rosemary, creating an unusual but enjoyable coastal profile.

Finish: Surprisingly long and satisfying, bringing flavours of smoked oatmeal, oatcakes, cereals, soot, and crushed seashells.
