In our latest and most intriguing experiment, Brian Kinsman, our dedicated Malt Master, embarked on a journey to the picturesque Somerset region in the Southwest of England. His mission was to meet Matilda Temperley, the Master Distiller behind her family's renowned Somerset Cider brandy company.
What truly captivated Brian's imagination was the expansive expanse of vintage apple orchards that he encountered during his visit. It was here that the inspiration for our innovative creation took root.
This journey began with Somerset Pomona, a unique blend of apple cider brandy and apple juice. This aromatic expedition ultimately led us to a groundbreaking achievement – the creation of the world's first single malt Scotch whisky, meticulously finished in casks that previously held Somerset Pomona spirit. This extraordinary fusion of Scotch whisky and the essence of Somerset Pomona promises to deliver a truly exceptional and one-of-a-kind tasting experience.
