A'bunadh Alba, meaning 'the original' in Gaelic, is a tribute to Aberlour's founder, James Fleming. This cask strength whisky is aged in ex-American oak, offering a rich sensory experience. On the nose, it reveals aromas of ripe red apples, honey, vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon. The palate is sweet and creamy with an oily texture, gradually unveiling notes of citrus zest, cinnamon, and dried apple as it opens. Wolfburn Small Batch 458 is the seventh limited-edition release from Wolfburn, mainland Scotland’s northernmost distillery. With only 5,100 bottles produced, this special single malt is crafted from two distinct spirit batches expertly married together. The first batch matures for seven years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butts, imparting rich sweetness and dark fruit notes. The second consists of lightly peated spirit aged in first-fill bourbon casks, adding layers of gentle smoke and vanilla. Tamdhu Quercus Alba Distinction is a limited-edition release showcasing the unique qualities of first-fill American oak sherry casks. Beginning in North America’s oak forests, the wood is transported to Spain, where it is air-dried under the Mediterranean sun and crafted into casks over six years in the famed “sherry triangle.” Seasoned with Oloroso sherry, the casks are then sent to Tamdhu, where they mature the distillery’s vibrant spirit.
