Glenfarclas The Family Casks Single Cask Vintage 2010 Single Malt Scotch Whisky bottled in 2010 from a single sherry hogshead, this vintage Glenfarclas is the perfect gift for anyone born or married in 1960. Majestically rich after five decades of wood maturation.Another classic single cask sherry bomb from Speyside distillery Glenfarclas. It matured from 2010 to 2021 in a large sherry cask (butt), from which 630 bottles came at a solid cask strength of 60.7%.
Glenfarclas The Family Casks Single Cask Vintage 2010 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, as evidenced here, the prices have also been steadily increasing.
Nose-Quite sweet, very, very fruity, raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry, dried fruit. Behind it, trail mix and white chocolate.
Surprisingly, at 60.7%, nothing stands out … unusual but extraordinary!
Taste-You can feel the 60.7% on the tongue a bit; the aroma of the berries remains, with a subtle spice added. But not as strong as you often find it at Glenfarclas. However, it tastes like light milk coffee rather than the detailed notes of over-roasted nuts and espresso.
Finish-Stable on the fruit with sweetness and acidity.
