Glenfarclas 2012 Christmas Edition 2021…..

Firstly, “Glenfarclas” means “valley of green grass.” The distillery’s name refers to its location, a three-hour drive north of Edinburgh, nestled at the foot of Mount Ben Rinnes in a picturesque setting. At the top of the Ben Rinnes slopes, covered with heather, purple in summer, snow white in winter, spring sources whose perfect and pure water is transformed by Glenfarclas into “eau de vie.”

Glenfarclas is considered one of the finest distilleries in Speyside. Its direct-fired stills produce a heavy single malt that is exclusively only matured in Jerez sherry casks. The distillery focuses on single malt over blends and a cool microclimate around the distillery. That their casks are particularly stingy to the “angels,” resulting in an incredible depth of stock.

Glenfarclas 2012 continues to use mainly Sherry Casks in its maturation process, giving a characteristic aroma to its whisky. Directly imported from Spain, the Sherry Casks are selected by John L. S. Grant, the distillery’s president. These oak barrels contribute to the richness, uniqueness, and deep color of Glenfarclas whisky.

Glenfarclas 2012 Christmas Edition, an exceptional Single Malt is bottled yearly. The bottling of 2021 was distilled in December 2012 and matured in Oloroso Sherry casks in the old cask cellar of the distillery. This distillery has a long history of releasing Christmas Edition bottlings for the German market. It was distilled in 2012 ad aged in ex-Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled for the 2021 festive season.

Above all, it is one of 4,200 bottles ONLY.
